Sad news for World Tricot owner and seamstress Carmen Colle.

A French court has thrown out the accusation Colle made against Chanel saying the fashion house had copied a crochet pattern of hers.

The Paris commercial tribunal ruled that Unkle Karl & Co. “had not stolen the design”.

But it’s not a complete loss for Colle.

Chanel was ordered to pay 400,000 euros in damages to the company for breaking the contract. The seamstress wanted 2.5 million euros.

Hey it’s better than nothing at all!

But of that 400,000 she owes Chanel 25% or 100,000 euros from a counter-suit that the company filed claiming World Tricot trashed the brand.

However, Carmen is determined to get more money and will be appealing the decision.

Just take the 300,000 euros and call it a day.
