Karl Lagerfeld never fails to impress, and his latest Chanel collection was no exception.
The designer described the 80 piece S/S 2013 collection as “Neo Coco”, which is a more youthful and fresher spin on the fashion house’s founder Coco Chanel.
Unkle Karl explained:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós nothing [to do] with minimalist. But suddenly, we had the mood of clean. And fresh, light, but not shapeless. It├óΓé¼Γäós about proportion, different volumes. For me, it├óΓé¼Γäós completely refreshed.”
The theme of energy was also prevalent in the Grand Palais as models weaved through the wind turbines lining the solar panel catwalk.
As for the clothes, they were exactly what you’d expect: classy and fabulous.
