Ain’t no party like a coronavirus pandemic party?

As the number of Americans to die from COVID-19 nears 60,000, citizens continue to ignore stay-at-home orders. Thousands on both coasts have thrown caution to the wind to visit the local beaches, while others seem to be straight up putting themselves in the most at-risk situations they can think of!

Case in point: this alarmingly packed house party in Chicago, where dozens of attendees were caught throwing money on — and physically touching — a stripper.

In the now-viral video footage, the partygoers are packed in a residence shoulder-to-shoulder making it rain on the bottomless exotic dancer, with some even getting a little handsy with her. Clearly, the coronavirus was the last thing on people’s minds, as the recording shows that no one was wearing face coverings or maintaining six feet between each other.

This isn’t the first potentially dangerous pandemic party that took place in the Windy City as of late. According to reports, there was a party in Chi-Town over the weekend that had over 1,000 guests — which prompted Mayor Lori Lightfoot to call out their “reckless” behavior.

In a coronavirus briefing Monday, Lightfoot said such parties go against everything she’s been telling Chicagoans to do amid the pandemic, saying to press:

“Every single person who put themselves at risk, puts the next person at risk. The next person that they come into contact with is at risk, and the next person that they come into contact with at risk… I have seen the video which shows what appears to be a house party taking place inside a Chicago residence. What was depicted on the video was reckless and utterly unacceptable.”

According to Ill. Rep. LaShawn Ford, the woman who owned the house wasn’t home during the time and was unaware her kids were throwing the party. He said:

“To say that they should practice social distancing because it will save your life, you should wear a face mask because it will save your life — they don’t see that. They don’t see past the next minute.”

Believe it or not, the person who threw the stripper party didn’t think it was big enough. According to TMZ, a woman who appears to be the homeowner was seen on Facebook live inviting anyone who was watching to come over.
