Chrysler is recalling over 919,000 older-model Jeeps all over the world.
The issue? The air bags could possibly inflate while people are driving!
There’s a part that can fail in the air bag control computer which can lead to the front and side air bags inflating while the SUV is driving.
This has happened 215 times already! There were some minor injuries but no crashes reported.
That sounds awful! Can you just imagine cruising down the road on a sunny day, no other cars around, windows down then… BAM! Air bag in your face!
Yeah, we can see why they’re doing a recall.
The recall affects Jeep Grand Cherokees from 2002 to 2004 and Jeep Libertys from 2002 and 2003.
For some reason, Chrysler won’t be notifying owners about the recall until January, we guess when they’ll be able to service all the cars.
So if you’re driving one of those Jeep SUVs├óΓé¼┬ª be CAREFUL!
