Woah!
Anderson Cooper may have been squeezed out of his inheritance by his mother Gloria Vanderbilt, but it was his mother’s therapist that apparently is the reason Anderson hasn’t seen or heard from his brother in a long time.
How long?
35 years long!
Anderson Cooper was only ten-years-old when his older half brother Christopher Stokowski disappeared from his life, and he hasn’t heard from him since! Even though the two were very close!
Apparently the reason Christopher left was because his mother Gloria’s therapist tried to get in between him and his ex fiancee April Sandmeyer. That therapist’s name was Dr. Christ Zois.
Here’s what April said:
“Christopher was the love of my life. But I was so devastated when I discovered what Zois had done that I felt I had no choice but to break things off with Christopher. I can├óΓé¼Γäót tell you what Zois said, it is just too personal. But I was heartbroken.”
After April left, so did Christopher, and no one has heard from him since!
When some reached out to Anderson Cooper’s reps about this new information, they responded with:
“We do not comment on our client├óΓé¼Γäós personal life.”
It’s sad to think that Anderson Cooper never has been able to reunite with his half brother, but as long as Christopher is still alive – there is still time!
Hopefully these two will be able to forge their own relationship, and leave the bitter family history out of it!
UPDATE: April Sandmeyer contacted us EXCLUSIVELY to let us know that she was misquoted by a certain source that TOTALLY took what she said out of context!
Well now she’s looking to set the record straight, as she says she NEVER referred to Anderson as “spoiled” or mentioned his relationship with his father, who passed away!
In fact, she says she had no issues with Christopher Stokowski or any of his family, but she did say that Dr. Christ Zois definitely complicated things a bit:
“It’s true that I was so horrified when I learned that Gloria Vanderbilt’s psychiatrist, Christian Zois, was talking to her about my relationship with Christopher, and the things Zois was saying, that I felt I had no choice but to break it off, because I felt that Dr. Zois was ruining our relationships by his interference. I had nothing against Christopher, Gloria Vanderbilt, or his family!”
We definitely hope this is true and that some day Anderson and Christopher will be able to reunite and be in each other’s lives!
