Colbert To Broadcast From Iraq!

As Stephen Colbert puts it, he will be “Bob Hoping” for the troops in Iraq.

The first time anyone has ever broadcast from Iraq for a USO tour, Colbert will tape a series of shows next week in front of a live audience of about 450 soldiers dubbed “Operation Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando.”

Both Colbert and his right wing character believe in supporting the troops, and said he feels a certain responsibility to remind the public about the “people [who] are struggling through the things that I sometimes make jokes about.”

We think that’s pretty honorable of Colbert to do!
