Colin Farrell Can Sing?

Looks like Colin Farrell is ready to add singer to his resume. Country singer that is.

Colin co-stars in the indie flick, Crazy Hearts, starring Jeff Bridges as a “washed-up, alcoholic country singer who gets his life back on track thanks to a reporter” and love interest in the movie, Maggie Gyllenhaal.

And at the premiere in Los Angeles last night, producer Judy Cairo reveals:

“No one had heard him sing until he recorded with [composer and producer] T-Bone, but we assumed if he took the role that he probably could pull it off or he wouldn’t have accepted the role. His agent didn’t even know he could sing.”

In one of the scenes, Bridges and Farrell share the stage together in Albuquerque, NM. Adds Cairo:

“They both have great voices. In fact, it was Colin’s second day working with us and we brought him in and threw him onstage in front of 12,000 people and said, ‘Sing!’ He was a trouper. He did an amazing job.”
