An Ohio father braved several layovers so he could spend Christmas with his daughter.
No, she doesn’t live on the other side of the world — she’s a flight attendant!
After Hal Vaughan found out his daughter Pierce had to work several Delta flights throughout Christmas Eve and Day, he used his family benefits to purchase SIX plane tickets so he could spend the holiday with her in the sky!

The father-daughter duo’s story took off on social media after a passenger who was seated next to Hal on one of the flights shared the dad’s journey on Facebook.
Pierce later shared the photos taken by the friendly passenger on her own Facebook, and thanked her Delta colleagues for making her dad’s trip one to remember. She posted:

Complimentary soft drinks, warm nuts, and a Melissa McCarthy movie? Not the worst way to spend the holiday!
Delta released a statement of its own acknowledging how “awesome” Pierce’s dad was, telling NBC Chicago:
“We appreciate all of our employees for working during the holidays to serve Delta customers, and love seeing this awesome Dad having the chance to spend Christmas with his daughter— even while crisscrossing the country at 30,000 feet.”
What a first class father! (Even if he had to fly coach! LOLz!)
