Jon James McMurray died on Saturday afternoon from the fall, which occurred from the wing of a Cessna flying in British Columbia where McMarry had been working on a film stunt project for months.
According to a statement released by McMurray’s team, the rapper had been training intensively for the stunt for a long time, though things went wrong when it was time to actually do the deed (below):

“As Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn’t correct. Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn’t have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.”

Ugh…
The pilot was reportedly able to land the plane safely after McMurray’s fall. British Columbia officials are now investigating McMurray’s death and the stunt.
As for McMuarry, the 34-year-old artist had been born in Calgary and was described by friends as “incredibly passionate” for his music, and for his life.
The death statement from his team added (below):

“His passion for making music videos and performing stunts were combined, and Jon pushed music in a new direction that was uncharted territory.”

So sad.
Gone far too soon, he leaves behind his parents, brother, wife, and countless other family, friends, and loved ones.
R.I.P…
