While in New York with his wife Rachel Weisz, Craig reportedly had surgery on his leg for knee damage. He was spotted heading to a clinic with his overnight bag on Monday, which is when people began wondering what was going on. So, a spokesperson confirmed:
“During a scheduled break, Daniel Craig had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury. He will rejoin production on April 22nd at Pinewood.”
And a source went on to further explain:
“His body has taken a hell of a battering while filming Bond, because he ├é┬¡really throws himself wholeheartedly into a very demanding part… He took the opportunity to have this surgery done while there was a chance to film scenes in which he was not needed.”
Spectre is expected to be released on November 6th, which is when we’ll get to see what producer Michael G. Wilson has called the “biggest opening sequence we’ve ever done.”
We’re wishing Daniel a speedy recovery!
