The Oscar-nominated director has auditioned Brit Brit before – oddly enough, for Naomi Watts‘ role in I <3 Huckabees – and even though he hasn’t found anything right for her yet, he still would love to work with her!
So when he was asked who he wanted to work with in the future, he said matter-of-factly: “Britney.”
Here’s the rest of what he went on to say:
“I think Britney could be great in a lot of different things, and I’m a huge fan of hers. And I actually auditioned her for a couple things… Used in the right way, I think she could be (great)… I’m a believer… I mean, Britney (the audition) was several years ago, for another movie… I think she’s a great entertainer… Yeah, I’m rooting for her.”
Wow! We had no idea he was such a fan!
Maybe they can get a Crossroad 2: The Detour off the ground! Ha!
But in all seriousness, we think that David O. Russell would be able to get a great performance out of Brit!
Let’s see it happen!
