Late Tuesday evening, David Spade broke his silence on sister-in-law Kate Spade‘s tragic and sudden death.

In an emotional Instagram post, he wrote:
Fuzzy picture but i love it. Kate and I during Christmas family photos. We had so much fun that day. She was so sharp and quick on her feet. She could make me laugh so hard. I still cant believe it. The legendary fashion designer was found dead in her New York apartment Tuesday morning. It’s reported she left a suicide note for her 13-year-old daughter.
