DWTS Has A Shocking Elimination On Finals Week! See All The Stellar Performances And Find Out Who Was Sent Home HERE!

We’ve finally made it to the DWTS finals week, which means we’re THIS close to finding out who will be walking away with the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy! But before someone is officially crowned king or queen of the dance floor, one more contestant was sent packing and eliminated right before the finale!
With everything on the line, contestants gave it their all as they started things off with routines picked by the judges before jumping into freestyles which they were all able to choreograph themselves, and let’s just say the scores show exactly why these celebs are still standing in the final four!
James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd have been a classic “will they/won’t they” scenario this season, as in “Will they or won’t they make out already?!?” Well we might have finally gotten our answer as the Big Time Rush star suggested they just go for it, and boy did they ever! The duo had the crowd going bananas as they pulled off a tango that featured a VERY passionate smooch, and the judges definitely seemed to approve, giving them a 29 out of 30!
Meryl David and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are riding a tidal wave of momentum after having a perfect night last week, so the only question was whether or not they could keep the ball rolling into finals week! The answer was a resounding YES as they notched yet another perfect score for their flawless Argentine tango! It definitely looks like Maks is in it to win it!
Candace Cameron Bure had the unenviable task of following up the perfect performance, and it didn’t help that she had a ROUGH week of rehearsals! The timing couldn’t have been worse, as the actress seemed to be hitting a breaking point emotionally heading into the finals and Mark Ballas seriously injured his shoulder during a dress rehearsal! Luckily, he was cleared by a doctor and the two were able to overcome their obstacles, notching a respectable 27 for their quickstep!
Last but certainly not least, Amy Purdy and Derek Hough took the dance floor for their salsa, but they also faced some hurdles heading into rehearsals this week! The paralympian’s back injury from a couple of weeks ago started acting up, leaving her in TONS of pain! However, you wouldn’t have known it from their routine as the duo scored a perfect 30 to close out the judge’s choice round!
James and Peta showed their softer sides during their tango, but their freestyle wasn’t quite as friendly! In a scene straight out of The Warriors, James went all out with the choreography as he squared off with his partner before showing off some seriously impressive martial arts moves! The judges gave them a 29 for their creative routine, which was easily one of our favorites of the night!
After scoring a perfect 30 for their Argentine tango, it’s hard to imagine that Meryl and Maks could do any better with their second routine, right? WRONG!!! Not only did their emotional freestyle get our juices flowing and left Carrie Ann Inaba in tears, it also scored a perfect 30! Too bad Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli couldn’t give them 11s like they wanted to!
Once again, Candace had the difficult task of following up a perfect routine as she and Mark took the floor for their freestyle! Unfortunately, they had a hard time keeping up with the competition as Mark’s injury definitely seemed to take a toll on him, and the two earned a 24, which was the lowest score of the night!
Amy and Derek seemed like an easy choice to close out the night, and they definitely did not disappoint! Derek stole the show for the first half of the routine with a ton of lifts, but then Amy stole a page out of P!nk‘s playbook and did some high-flying acrobatics that left us breathless! The judges all approved, giving them a 29 to close out the round!
Despite the incredibly high scores and impressive routines, someone STILL had to go home at the end of the night! Sadly, it was James and Peta who were sent packing just shy of the finale, which means there will be a LOT less sexual tension on the show now! SAD!
So now with only three left, the question is which contestant will take home the grand prize? Will Meryl have another trophy to add to her collection? Will Candace defy the odds and pull off the major upset? Or will Amy pull off the storybook ending to the amazing season she’s had? We’ll have to wait until tonight to find out!
Ch-ch-check out the rest of the routines (below)!
