Dua Lipa Is 'Very, Very Excited' To Be An 'Auntie' To Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik's Baby!

Bella Hadid isn’t the only one excited to become an “auntie”!

As you’re likely aware, Dua Lipa has been dating Anwar Hadid, younger brother of Gigi Hadid and Bella, for almost a year, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome a baby into the family!

While on the phone with The Edge NZ, the New Rules songstress shared she is “very excited,” after being congratulated on getting ready to become an “auntie.” She said of the announcement on Thursday:

“Yeah! It’s very exciting news! We’re very, very excited.”

News first broke about the 25-year-old’s first pregnancy with Zayn Malik a few days ago, leaving fans totally shocked by the news as the couple had just reconnected in December! Reports say she’s only 20 weeks along so far with her baby girl, with Dua adding another new detail: the fam only knew for “a little bit” and “not long” before the news broke online.

Obviously, the entire Hadid crew is very excited by the news! Momma Yolanda Hadid confirmed the news to Dutch news outlet RTL Boulevard on Wednesday:

“Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press. Of course we are so excited. I’m excited to become Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”

So sweet!!

As you’re likely aware, we have yet to hear anything from Zayn directly about his first child, but Gigi did spill plenty while confirming her pregnancy to pal Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. She gushed:

“Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support… Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and be together and really experience it day by day.”

If it wasn’t clear from her recent 25th birthday celebration which included a special bagel-inspired cake made by none other than the Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, the supermodel’s pregnancy craving has been her fave ring-shaped piece of bread:

“I eat an everything bagel a day.”

She added:

“I don’t know if it was my hormones right now or just like quarantine emotional-ness, I cried every five minutes for an hour every time I thought about how Buddy made my cake.”

LOLz! Maybe baby will love bagels as much as she does!
