Ellen DeGeneres finally decided to shoot her shot with Jennifer Aniston — and it paid off big time!
The Morning Show appeared on Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new Apple TV series, and ended up locking lips with the 61-year-old host because, well… why not?
The smooching came after the 50-year-old actress asked the comedienne about her recent on-air kiss with Howard Stern, which went down during the October 14 episode of her show. For those who missed it, the shock jock initiated the on-camera kiss as a way of overshadowing the headlines about Ellen’s Dallas Cowboys football game hangout drama with former president George W. Bush.

Jen, for her part, was quite intrigued by the Stern-on-DeGeneres action, and asked Ellen — who has been married to Portia de Rossi for 11 years — multiple questions about it.
She probed:
“How was it? Did you enjoy it? Were you nervous? Did you kinda get into it at all? Or was it just like …”
Ellen was amused by Jen’s curiosity, replying:
“Is this something that’s gonna turn you on? Why is this so important to you?”
To which Jen quipped back:
“Not when we’re with so many people.”
The Friends alum then asked Ellen how long it had been since she had last kissed a guy. The host responded with a laugh, saying:
“Why is everyone so shocked? I kiss guys. I kiss guys, like, that. I don’t make out with guys, but I kiss guys on the lips.”
At that point, Ellen saw an opportunity. With a twinkle in her eye, she asked:
“When was the last time you kissed a girl on the lips?”
After some hesitation, Aniston declared she doesn’t kiss girls on the lips — setting up Ellen to smirk and edge toward the star for a smooch.

Jen quickly caught on and played along: she arranged her hair in preparation for the big moment, before giving Ellen the kiss to end all kisses.
After the intimate moment, the host said:
“That’s what they wanted to see. They’ve been wanting that for years.”
We’re definitely not mad about it!
