Don’t ask Elsa Pataky any more questions about Liam Hemsworth, okay?!
Despite previously making a vocal show of support for her brother-in-law through his divorce from Miley Cyrus, the 43-year-old Spanish model and actress (who is married to Chris Hemsworth) recently said she is done publicly commenting on Liam’s personal life.

The whole thing came up when Pataky was asked to give an update on the 29-year-old during an interview on the Australian morning show, Sunrise.
However, the Spanish superstar quickly shot down the question and said:
“Look, he’s doing great but…I prefer not to talk about this private life. He’s the one who has to talk about it.”
Well, that last part is certainly true — it’s his business, not hers! Although, we don’t expect the Killerman star to make a grand statement any time soon since he’s remained mostly private about the matter thus far.
Pataky continued her reply and added:
“He’s getting happier and he has his family. His brother is his best friend, so that’s good. He’s spent some time with us.”
OK, so it looks like we did get our update after all. LOLz. But that’s about as much as we’ll get from her since the interviewer picked up on the vibe and quickly changed the subject right after!

BTW, Elsa was originally on the show to talk about her new book called Strong, where she reveals the secrets to achieving the smoking hot body you’ve always wanted.
So, yeah. The Liam question was quite a departure from that topic!
Of course, who wouldn’t want to know how the Aussie hunk is doing after such a rocky past couple of months?
Singing A Different Tune!
And as we mentioned at the top, Pataky was quick to share her two cents on the younger Hemsworth’s current mental health and the emotional support he’s been receiving from family and friends when she spoke to reporters at a press junket just a few days ago. She even took a shot at Cyrus herself when she said:
“My brother-in-law, well, he’s done with a relationship to which he had dedicated ten years, and then it crumbled. But he gets along well. He’s a strong boy and deserves the best, I think he deserves much better.”
It’s not like Elsa completely walked back on her comments — but she’s clearly taking more of a backseat approach to showing support going forward, which isn’t the worst idea. Heck, even Chris isn’t saying much about it!
In the meantime, Liam is enjoying his low-key, new relationship with actress Maddison Brown while Miley and Cody Simpson continue to do their thing.
Back in August, a rep for the Mother’s Daughter crooner officially announced the former couple’s split:
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
