Fans couldn’t be more excited that Marvel is finally giving a leading lady a chance at her own movie!
But WHICH leading lady?

The search is on for the perfect Captain Marvel, and some film fans are already campaigning for Emily Blunt.
Gurl was SO badass in Edge Of Tomorrow, she could certainly take on the bad guys all by herself. But is she even interested? She said:

“I think, it’s always for me, it’s always about├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and now, more so├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥what am I putting out there? What would be interesting for me and what would be interesting for people to see. So, if it’s an awesome part, it doesn’t matter if it’s a Marvel movie or a tiny movie, I’d be up for it.”

Well, now that she has a daughter, it’s more important than ever to be giving young girls powerful role models. Maybe that will sway her decision.
That is, if Marvel is even going that way! Emily doesn’t seem to think there’s much chance; she said:

“No one has actually called me about it, so we’ll hold our breath.”

Well, we think Emily is definitely top notch, but if she’s not right, she’s not right.
After all, this casting has to be PERFECT to appease fans and let Hollywood know that audiences are ready for ladies to take the lead (which they are, duh!)!
