Emily Blunt is having a hard time keeping her feet on the ground!
The Into The Woods star was asked by Vulture about starring in Marvel’s upcoming superhero film Captain Marvel, and once again she denied she was in talks:
“Oh! No one’s offered me that officially, so it’s… very unofficial. I think it’s fan-casting, which is always very nice. But nothing official has been offered, for sure.”
You know what? That’s OK by us!
Don’t get us wrong, we LOOOOVE us some Emily Blunt. But we have our own ideas…

The more shocking thing was Emily’s confirmation that she had been offered the roles of both Black Widow and Agent Peggy Carter! She said:
“Yeah, but it was never the right time, really, and it just didn’t work out scheduling-wise with those two. It’s always a difficult thing to talk about, because it’s not fair to the actresses who ended up playing them, you know? It just wasn’t the right time.”
Emily is a great actress, but it’s hard to see anyone else but Scarlett Johansson and Hayley Atwell in those roles now!
But maybe one day she’ll find a superhero she’s really interested in playing. Until then, we highly recommend her underrated badass turn in Edge Of Tomorrow!
