Mexican Telecom businessman Carlos Slim Helu might be the richest man in the world with a net worth of $74 billion, but he’s also joined by several fashion leaders.
In fact, Bernard Arnault, pictured above, come in at the number four spot making him the richest fashion businessman in the world worth $41 billion! Arnault owns the LVMH conglomerate which controls some of the top labels around like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Givenchy.
Amancio Ortega, who founded Zara, come in at number seven with $31 billion.
H&M chairman, Stefan Persson, has a pretty big bank account as well, being worth $24.5 billion on the number thirteen spot and is followed by Liliane Bettencourt, heir to L’Oreal, at number fifteen worth $23.5 billion.
Even Salma Hayek’s father-in-law, Francois Pinault, is on the list at number 67 with an $11.5 billion worth. Pinault owns PPR which includes Gucci, YSL, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Puma.
Looks like there’s a lot of money to be made in the fashion industry.
