Well, this is awkward!
Glamour accidentally ran a picture of Korean model Daul Kim for a feature on denim in their August issue.
Unbeknownst to the magazine, Daul has been dead for three years after she tragically took her own life in 2009.
Once they realized their error, Glamour quickly issued a statement to save face:
“Our longtime backstage photographer Mark Leibowitz took this picture, which we├óΓé¼Γäód always loved and wanted to use├óΓé¼ΓÇ£we had no idea about the backstory, and are heartbroken to learn this news.”
At least it was an oversight, and they didn’t intentionally use a photo of a model who is sadly no longer with us.
