Hell’s Kitchen host and chef Gordon Ramsay has closed one of his pubs in London due to bankruptcy.
Gordon is having his share of bad money issues as of late and his foodie empire is getting hit the hardest. Sources explain that Gordon had managed to keep debt-collectors away by filtering $8 million into the business to keep it afloat. But there is only so much he can do. With the recession, the pub just wasn’t pulling it’s own weight.
So he closed up shop. A spokesperson for Ramsay says:
“The Devonshire pub has not been meeting our expectations for a while and we have taken the decision to close it while we consider future plans.”
One down. How many more of his places will go under, we wonder?
It’s a tough break, but thankfully, he has his reality TV career to keep him warm rich!
