Lady GaGa has found the man of her dreams! And their story is so cute!
The legendary artist is Vogue’s latest cover star — and she didn’t skimp on details while discussing her love life with fiancé Michael Polansky! In her cover story published on Thursday, the Joker: Folie à Deux star proudly shared that “the missing piece in [her] life was having real love,” and she has that now… Thanks to her mom Cynthia Germanotta!!
She told the outlet that she and Michael met in 2019 through her Born This Way Foundation, which her mom helped her set up in 2012 and still runs. She dished:
“My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’ I could never have imagined that my mom… found the most perfect person for me?”
Awww! That is SO sweet! Mother truly knows best!
Months later, GaGa was invited to the 40th birthday bash of Napster co-founder Sean Parker, with whom Michael just so happens to be longtime associates. The Bad Romance songstress recalled:
“I got invited and I said, ‘I wonder if Michael is going to be there,’ and my mom said yes, and so I went to the party and I kept asking for him and he finally came over to me and we talked for three hours. We had the most amazing conversation.”

Michael chimed in to hilariously add that he was bombarded with news that GaGa was looking for him upon his arrival at the party. He told the outlet:
“I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness — she was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”
For weeks after that, the duo kept in touch over the phone and “went on our first date and just fell in love.” But when all seemed like a fairytale, “COVID hit,” said the Telephone singer. But the two decided to take on the global pandemic together at her Malibu pad!! GaGa dished:
“It was really kind of special. I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship. I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me — outside of Lady GaGa.”
Michael added:
“We had this amazing chapter of a weird kind of normalcy. That’s essential for any relationship to develop in a real way — taking walks, making coffee, hanging out with the dogs, reading books together … The pandemic was easier on her than you might think. She’s used to being isolated because of her fame and was able to take so much of it in stride. I think she loved the chance to slow down. She’s been operating at an unfathomable level of intensity for years and it’s no secret it had caught up to her.”
Aww. We love hearing how he talks about her with such warmth! And GaGa has an important message for fans: she’s SO happy! She dished:
“I feel very grateful that I wasn’t alone. I had never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and my life are very different. He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we are right for each other. But I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy.”
Fast forward to April of this year and the two get ENGAGED! The Joanne singer revealed that after she and Michael spent a day together rock climbing, he got down on one knee and popped the question with the massive sparkler we’ve all seen by now.
Ugh, we just love this so much! We’re so happy for Lady GaGa! She deserves all the happiness!!
