Did Bravo already know about James Kennedy‘s allegedly abusive tendencies??
As Perezcious readers know, the Vanderpump Rules alum was arrested for domestic violence last week after he allegedly body-slammed his girlfriend Ally Lewber to the ground. Charges have not been filed, but Ally moved out of their shared home to take some space and figure out what to do next.
Before the incident in their home, the DJ was reportedly acting “inebriated” at Kathy Hilton‘s annual holiday party. James has since told followers he’s “taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones.”

James has struggled with substance in the past, which has caused him to act erratically before. It sounds like addiction issues could have been at play here, but he’s also been accused of having a pattern of mistreating women!
Sources told Page Six on Wednesday that Bravo was alerted of problematic behavior all the way back in the fall of 2023! That’s over a year ago! Apparently, an anonymous whistleblower, identified only as a production insider, told Evolution Media (the company that produces the show) about a long list of complaints about the reality star. Some of the claims had been whispered behind the scenes while others had been hinted at publicly or were mentioned during tapings of the show. Whoa.
One damning claim was that James attacked *more than one* woman he’d had a sexual relationship with. Nobody was named, but he’s famously dated Kristen Doute and Rachel Leviss, and they both had very chilling reactions to his arrest. So, that says a lot… Jeez! Documents obtained by the outlet showed Bravo hired an independent attorney to investigate the claims; however, they did NOT distance themselves from the celeb.
In fact, the whistleblower was outraged to see the 32-year-old at the network’s live event BravoCon while the investigation was underway. Not only was he there, but they made a big show of his presence! The source claimed the whistleblower was disturbed when organizers had James sing You Can Suddenly Become The Number One Guy In The Group, a song based on a joke about the order of importance of the cast. He was also given the award for “Colloquial Excellence.” All while they were looking into abuse claims!
It’s currently unclear what the result of the investigation was. If it turned out he was a problem, the network didn’t have to figure out how to fire him alone and deal with the PR of it all because they just axed the ENTIRE cast! It has been said that this change was based on the fact that the friend group is deeply fractured following Scandoval, but could it have something to do with these allegations, too?
If Bravo knew about James’ alleged behavior and did nothing about it, that would be super disturbing! Frankly, the fact that these claims were so widespread among the cast and crew is awful, too. It’s like they were all protecting him by not speaking up. SMH.
