It only took four years, but James McAvoy is finally truly getting into his X-Men character.
That’s because the 36-year-old actor just shaved his head completely bald to match Patrick Stewart‘s Professor X for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.
Director Bryan Singer shared James’ new hair, or lack thereof, on Friday, and we think it’s about time he got into character for his third movie in the franchise.
We mean, Jennifer Lawrence permanently dyed her skin blue for Mystique — why couldn’t he just cut his hair!?

JK, but still, it’ll be interesting to see how Apocalypse handles its 1983 setting, seeing how Days of Future Past just ignored the rules of time travel altogether.
