We’re with you, Jemele Hill!
As we reported yesterday, everyone was talking about the ESPN anchor after a string of tweets where she called out Donald Trump for being a “white supremacist” and a “bigot.” Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders later said Hill’s actions were a “fireable offense.”
Obviously people can share their opinions on Twitter. The controversy here is whether or not Jemele’s tweets reflect the views of the sports network.

On Wednesday night, she cleared that up by saying:

The network spokesman’s Josh Krulewitz responded by saying ESPN accepted Hill’s apology:
“Jemele has a right to her personal opinions, but not to publicly share them on a platform that implies that she was in any way speaking on behalf of ESPN. She has acknowledged that her tweets crossed that line and has apologized for doing so. We accept her apology.”
Meanwhile, Trump continues to spew fake news on his own Twitter page and faces no repercussions. Classic.
