Jenelle Evans is in the midst of more unsettling relationship drama — and no, this time it has nothing to do with David Eason!
The Teen Mom veteran was the focus of a 911 call placed by her manager-and-apparent-new-boyfriend August Keen at her home in Las Vegas. The call, placed way back on August 31, is only coming out now after multiple outlets just uncovered the police report this week. And since there was no crime filed in conjunction with the call to cops, no legal consequences came of it at the time. But it is definitely surprising… to say the very least!!

So, back on the night of August 31, according to both The Ashley and TooFab which confirmed the existence of the police report, Keen called the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Per the audio recording and transcript of the call, he told this to the dispatcher about an apparent late-night disagreement he and Evans were having at her Sin City home:
“So, my girlfriend got super-drunk tonight, and she’s been hitting me all night. I’d like to be, just, protected to make sure that I grab my stuff. I just want to get out of the house safe. She keeps following me. She came running after me.”
Whoa!!!
There are obviously a few takeaways here: first, “girlfriend”?! Last we heard, Keen was her manager, not her boyfriend! So, uh, wow!! (FWIW, TooFab notes that Evans has reportedly only called August her friend — and specifically said to pals she is “single as a Pringle” right now no matter how he defines their relationship. Hmmm…)
Also, even more importantly, the domestic violence accusations are SUPER unsettling!! Keen went on to add this concerning allegation to dispatchers, too:
“I don’t do drugs. She does do drugs. She takes pills, she smokes a lot of weed and she drinks a lot.”
As if that wasn’t enough, August also told the dispatcher he keeps a gun at Jenelle’s house!! He claimed on the call that it was “locked away,” but still. That is so concerning. Her kids live there! And to think a weapon like that is even in the vicinity of this kind of domestic violence… Imagine if something like this escalated… Ugh…
Even as Keen spoke to dispatchers, Jenelle’s voice could be heard in the background yelling about how she was the one asking him to leave, and he wouldn’t do it. So cops showed up to try to settle the situation. In the police report, officers documented Keen’s assertion that “his girlfriend had about 8-12 drinks and he had 2-3 drinks.” (There’s that “girlfriend” word again!) The police report went on:
“He had no signs of injury and did not wish to go into detail about the incident. Jenelle was inside of the house and sleeping upstairs and was unable to be contacted by Officers.”
In the end, it was just written up as a verbal dispute with no finding that either party had been violent — other than what Keen had originally claimed on the 911 call, at least. If she did hit him, there was no proof. Cops ultimately decided not to arrest anyone. Instead, August grabbed a suitcase, packed some of his stuff, and was picked up and taken away by a pal. Jeez.
The story doesn’t end there, though. After The Ashley first reported on the existence of the 911 call back on Tuesday, Keen took to his Instagram Stories to address the situation. Per TooFab, in a series of since-deleted Stories slides, the manager-and-maybe-boyfriend lamented how “some old stuff was pulled up recently.” He went on:
“No I was not hit, I have a zero tolerance for violence and would not stick around any DV situations. No she is not on drugs (everyone knows I dislike weed, unless it’s for medicinal purposes) and that’s what I was referring to.”
He claimed the pair simply had a disagreement at the end of “a friend’s event” as they were on their way to Jenelle’s Vegas pad:
“We had a good time at a friend’s event, end of night we jumped in an Uber, had a disagreement on the way to her house. I wanted to be escorted out with some of my stuff. I don’t like alcohol because in heated moments, things can escalate.”
So there was no violence, but he called the cops anyway? Come on! Keen maintained “he thought a mediator at that moment could help us call it a night.” Then, he added this little tidbit:
“My intention were to never get any of us in trouble. On the contrary, I highly respect and love her very much.”
Ummm!!! Dropping the L-bomb too?!?! Oooookay!
He also preemptively denied Jenelle’s children Jace, Kaiser, or Ensley were around “at any point” during the evening. (Even though the incident appears to have taken place at the home where they live?!) And then he wrapped his statement on the matter:
“I think if the police saw anything fishy, they would have done their job.”
Oof. This whole thing is just… oof. Not much more to say at this point.
