Jeremy Renner is accusing his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco of dipping into their daughter’s trust fund for her own personal use!
According to court documents filed last Tuesday, the Avengers: Endgame actor claimed that, in less than two years, his 29-year-old ex transferred nearly $50,000 from their 7-year-old daughter Ava‘s trust fund account to pay for Christmas presents, property taxes, and attorney’s fees.
The docs read:
“In an email to Mr. Renner’s business manager, Jeffrey Jacobs, dated April 23, 2019, [Pacheco] admitted transferring funds from the minor’s trust account to her personal account in violation of the Court’s Order, stating: ‘The money transfers to my bank were to keep my afloat/provide [the minor] Christmas presents/birthday gift bags and essentials for her bday party – after all my savings were spent on lawyers/child custody evaluator.'”
In a separate email, Pacheco allegedly admitted to making another transfer from Ava’s trust fund to her personal checking account for over $10,000 — stressing to Jeremy’s business manager that her savings account had been “drained from attorney fees.”
Per the filing, she wrote:
“[Pacheco told] Jacobs in an email eight months later, ‘Please note the number of $10,701.40 was taken out of this account to pay my property taxes for 6 months. Once again this year like the past years, mine and [A.R.]’s savings have been drained from attorney fees.'”
The star also accused his ex of using $32,000 from the trust fund to pay her attorney’s fees.
In response to Renner’s allegations, Pacheco yet again stressed that her savings account has been drained over the past few years from legal services and a child custody evaluator in an attempt to protect Ava from the 49-year-old actor.
She said in a statement to People:
“I am sick of being continually bullied, having my name slandered, and the truth muted. Anyone who is a parent knows that the most important thing in the world is their child’s health and safety. Over the years it’s hard to fathom what I’ve seen and what people have told me they’ve seen in regards to Jeremy’s disturbing actions while our child is in his care.”
Some of those “disturbing actions,” as we’ve reported, include Renner allegedly threatening to kill Pacheco; allegedly sticking a gun in his mouth and shooting it into the ceiling while Ava was in her room; and allegedly using drugs and leaving cocaine on the bathroom counter where Ava could reach it.
Pacheco’s statement continued:
“Unfortunately, these actions have landed me in a position to need to retain legal support, undergo a child custody evaluation, and now have a plan parent coordinator. It is hard for me to stay muted because, after all this time, money, and energy spent putting safety measures in place to keep our daughter safe while once again in Jeremy’s care, these measures are still being violated as of today.”
People reported that Renner’s team had yet to comment on Pacheco’s statement. Previously, however, the Oscar nominee’s lawyer called the mother-of-one’s allegations “one-sided.”
Years after their 2014 split, Renner and Pacheco came to a child support agreement in April 2018. According to court docs, the Hawkeye actor agreed to deposit payments into his daughter’s trust fund solely for the purpose of paying for “all education-related expenses (tuition, tutors, books, uniforms, activities and the like); extracurricular activities; summer school or camp; childcare; and uncovered medical and dental expenses.”
Let’s hope little Ava’s in a safe environment as her parents continue to battle it out.
