Jessica Lange has opened up about the witchtastic return of American Horror Story: Coven and, apparently, we had best prepare ourselves!

As if we weren’t already shaking in our boots from that warning to Emma Roberts in the trailer!

Because all the teasers and goodies weren’t enough, Jessica has been dishing some details about the upcoming season.

She said:

“What happened last year is we headed down this dark rabbit hole that got darker and darker and darker and darker. I think there has been an effort this year to not go quite that dark. It’s still about horror, but maybe more psychological this year.”

Oh, so she means they’re just going to make us all fear for our sanity instead of flinching away from the TV screen in fear? I guess that’s cool too!?!?

Jess revealed that her character, Fiona Goode, has been living the high life on the west coast when she decides to return to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for young witches in New Orleans to help the school get their shiz together. In addition, she will try and mend her relationship with her daughter, the headmistress played by Sarah Paulson.

As for her future on the show? Jess said that she’s committed for one more season then:
