Jon Favreau And Marvel On The Outs!

He’s too expensive!
Apparently Jon Favreau, who directed Iron Man, wanted to direct Marvel’s upcoming The Avengers, but the studio didn’t want to pay for him!
Back when he signed on for Iron Man 2, negotiations were difficult because he was asking for more money. They ended up working out a deal, but now Marvel is going with Joss Whedon for The Avengers because his fee is cheaper.
Supposedly both Favreau and Robert Downey, Jr. were disappointed with Iron Man 2 because Marvel interfered a lot and made the movie a giant infomercial for The Avengers.
Well, we think Joss can handle the responsibility!
