Joseph Duggar’s plea is in.
More than a week after being arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior molesting a victim under 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person over 18, Joseph has made a court appearance. On Tuesday, the Duggar sibling appeared remotely before a Florida judge from the Bay County Jail.
As we know, Joseph allegedly molested a 9-year-old girl while on a family vacation in Panama City in 2020. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a statement at the time of his arrest:
“The victim reported Duggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap. As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket. During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals. Duggar would also continue to rub his hands on her thighs.”
So sickening.
So does Joseph feel he’s guilty? NO. According to court docs, Joseph submitted a written plea of not guilty to all charges, two days before his court appearance, waiving an arraignment and demanding a jury trial.

WHAT?? Didn’t he already confess?! At the time of his arrest, the BCSO revealed Joseph LITERALLY fessed up to the victim’s father! They added in their statement:
“Duggar admitted his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.”
So now he’s changing his story??
Joseph was arrested at his home in Arkansas (where he faces additional charges) and was extradited to Florida over the weekend. During his court appearance, the judge set his bond at $600,000. He’s currently set to appear in court again on April 20. You can see his eerie new mugshot (below):
