Julianne Hough & Brooks Laich Are 'Totally Fine' Following 'A Rough Patch'

All is good with Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich, apparently!

As we’ve been reporting, the pair have been subject to rumors of marital problems for several months now, though they’ve each denied it.

A source explained to Us Weekly:

“Brooks and Julianne are totally fine and are working through any issues they previously faced. At the end of the day, they love each other and they are still together.”

A second insider explained to the outlet the duo were simply “going through a rough patch.”

The confidant added:

“They have both been in different places for work so they haven’t been able to spend as much time together this past few months.”

This new info comes after Laich spoke candidly about his relationship during an episode of his podcast:

“Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love. A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality. And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, in my sexual relationship, what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”

To his How Men Think co-host Gavin DeGraw, he added:

“How can we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything.”

The 36-year-old explained that “learning and figuring out my capacity for sexual feelings” wasn’t always a top priority as an athlete:

“I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform. Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life. I’ve been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I’d never explored or thought to explore. It’s amazing.”

The twosome had been SUPER open about their sex life prior to the rumors making waves, but the Canada native has ruled out threesomes, and will stick to how things are between him and the DWTS pro:

“I don’t know if I could ever get that. I can’t ever see myself being physical with somebody else. I just don’t think I could get there. I just don’t. In this stage of life, I’m looking for a deeper connection and romance. When I think of being married and being in my relationship, truthfully at my core, I don’t see any other life for me. Like that’s the life that I choose.”
