Brooks Laich Credits Julianne Hough With Helping Him 'Explore' His Sexuality

brooks laich credits julianne hough for helping him explore his sexuality

Last we heard from Julianne Hough, she claimed things were all “good” with husband Brooks Laich, despite some evidence which was believed to have proved otherwise!

Now, the former Los Angeles Kings player is opening up even more than usual, and divulging how his wife helped open his eyes to “exploring his sexuality.”

In the latest episode of his podcast How Men Think, he explained to co-host Gavin DeGraw:

“Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love. A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality. And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, in my sexual relationship, what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”

He added:

“How can we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything.”

Being an athlete, the 36-year-old says “learning and figuring out my capacity for sexual feelings” wasn’t always a top priority. He explained:

“I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform. Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life.”

Today, things have changed. And a lot of that is credited to his conversations with DeGraw and the relationship he has with his wife:

“I’ve been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I’d never explored or thought to explore. It’s amazing.”

While he’s not necessarily getting into ALL specifics about what this journey of sexual exploration entails, threesomes are off the table for the time being:

“I don’t know if I could ever get that. I can’t ever see myself being physical with somebody else. I just don’t think I could get there. I just don’t. In this stage of life, I’m looking for a deeper connection and romance.”

Despite rumors that things may have been a little rocky with him and the Dancing with the Stars alum, Laich says marriage is what’s right for him when asked if he ever fantasized about being single:

“When I think of being married and being in my relationship, truthfully at my core, I don’t see any other life for me. Like that’s the life that I choose.”

He explained:

“I choose that every second of every day. So could I fantasize about it? Maybe. But that’s all it would be. Truthfully, genuinely to my heart, do I actually want that? No.”

In fact, Brooks pointed out that he “could completely leave my relationship,” but he chooses “the life that I have” instead. He noted:

“I remember so vividly what it was like to be alone, to be single and feel alone and feel lonely.”
