Julianne Moore is sticking it to anybody who thinks women can’t be damn hot and sexy in their 50s.
She’s a total goddess in the latest spread for Net-A-Porter‘s The Edit! We can’t!
The actress bares boobage and leg in dresses by Kaufmanfranco and Isabel Marant, all in her favorite color — black. And she gets extra sultry in lingerie from Kiki de Montparnasse and Agent Provocateur.
Rawr!
There’s also plenty of fashion talk!
The 53-year-old gets the ball rolling by talking about her dear friend Tom Ford, saying:

“I don├óΓé¼Γäót know that I├óΓé¼Γäóm his muse. I├óΓé¼Γäóm definitely a friend. He├óΓé¼Γäós not mysterious about fashion, which I love. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think it├óΓé¼Γäós a mysterious business. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós something that should be a lot of fun, and expressive, and obviously have some cultural relevance. It├óΓé¼Γäós about who we are at that moment in time. He├óΓé¼Γäós just a great, wonderfully creative and soulful person, and a really good friend.├óΓé¼┬¥

Then she dishes about her daughter Liv’s love of fashion. She said:

“[Liv] has suddenly become very interested in fashion. She even went to Fashion Camp this summer. So I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Liv, do you want to go (to the Reed Krakoff show)?├óΓé¼Γäó We had a great time, and she met every fashion editor in the business. She loved it. She talked about the clothes as they came out ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ what she liked, what she would wear, what she thought would look good on me, and I said what would look good on her. It├óΓé¼Γäós a great thing to share. She├óΓé¼Γäós much more daring than I am, certainly with color.├óΓé¼┬¥

And even though she’s a total style star, there’s one person who’s not impressed by her clothing. The actress revealed:

“My husband [director Bart Freundlich] makes fun of me a lot [about fashion]. I love clothes. I was wearing these yoga pants that have an[I Dream of Jeannie] harem element, and he was like, ‘Why do you walk to yoga? Why don’t you blink your way there?’”

She also gave some style advice for the older generation, saying:

“After a certain age, you can’t wear anything with words on it. Also, I don’t wear a lot of color because, having red hair, I carry a lot of color with me. I read a quote from an actress who said, ‘Only wearing black is like not taking chances’, and I was like, ‘I guess I don’t take chances then! I wear a lot of black!’”

Finally, the talk turned to aging, which Julianne has a very healthy attitude about. She said:

“I’d like to think that I can age as naturally as possible. I don’t want to come out condemning anything anybody does, because I think that all of these things can contribute to making people feel better about themselves, and that’s great. But I also want to look like myself. I mean, we’re not going to live forever. You could be dead at 45, and guess what? Then you don’t have to worry about aging.”
