Were you shocked by Miley Cyrus‘ foam finger, stripper antics at the VMAs?
Well, Justin Timberlake thinks you’re being silly!
Okay, maybe those aren’t his exact words, but he does think people need to chill out over the raunchfest because he thinks performances like Miley’s have been around long before her.
Justin revealed other performances that weren’t much tamer than Mileybird’s twerk-off:
“Madonna: Wedding suit, humping the stage. Britney [Spears]: Strip tease. This is not an uncommon thing. I actually thought all the bears were really cool!”
We’ve gotta say, that’s quite the comparison! Queen Madge?!
And if that’s whose AH-Mazing footsteps she was trying to follow in, perhaps she first try to perfect doing her own thing.
Especially since, as far as Justin’s concerned, doing your own thing is just fine at the VMAs. He said:
“Listen, man, you know, it├óΓé¼Γäós the VMAs. What did you guys expect? I like Miley. I like her a lot. I think, you know, she├óΓé¼Γäós young. She├óΓé¼Γäós letting everyone know that she├óΓé¼Γäós growing up. I just think it├óΓé¼Γäós the VMAs. It├óΓé¼Γäós not like she did it at the Grammys. Let her do her thing. You know?”
Guess we’ve got another Team Miley member!
Sounds like he wasn’t so bugged by her upstaging him at the VMAs after all! Maybe she’ll be twerking on him next!
