What is going on with Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel??
Ever since the infamous hand-holding scandal we’ve been getting two very different lines about how the relationship is doing.
For those who missed it, JT was filming a movie called Palmer in New Orleans when he was spotted hanging out with a younger co-star named Alisha Wainwright at a bar after work. Photographs and video of the two holding hands hit the Internet, as well as some in which she rubbed his knee suggestively.

While we obviously can’t say for certain things between the actors went any further than this, that kind of contact certainly suggests a very intimate relationship. In any case, most of our readers agree just the holding hands with a woman who isn’t your wife counts as crossing the line into cheating.
Half of what we’ve heard about the couple since describes what we would expect in the aftermath of such a marriage-souring incident:
She’s still upset, they’re in couples therapy, he’s trying to make amends but also being smooth and telling her what she wants to hear… That all sounds about right.
Then we have source like those speaking to ET on Thursday, who say the pair are already “in a very good place” after #Handholdgate.
An insider told the outlet:
“After Justin was spotted holding hands with his co-star, the couple took time to reconnect, spending much-needed quality time together. Justin and Jessica love one another very much and weren’t going to let this come between them, more so since Justin told Jessica he didn’t cheat, and she believes him.”
Even if Jessica is in that 15% who don’t think the hand stuff alone is cheating, do we really think she believes him? Would YOU?? The source continued:
“The couple has put everything past them and has moved on.”
We just don’t know if we buy it. What’s more likely, a wife completely getting over her man getting handsy with another woman in just a matter of weeks? Or JT’s people trying to keep up their perfect image for the general public? After all, remember he completely denied even the hand holding at first! Hmm.
Another source did back up the first, even offering specifics about the couple bringing their 4-year-old son, Silas, with them on a sweet family staycation at the Hotel Bel-Air.
This insider says they were seen having a fancy romantic dinner, just the two of them on one of the three nights of their stay:
“He was very attentive toward Jessica. He was always touching her hand and his hand was often on her leg.”
Awww. Sounds really sexy and intimate. Hand-holding and a hand on the leg, so romantic. And also familiar…
