Usher Says Unlike Taylor Swift, He Was Fine With Kanye West Using HIS Name In A Song! But...

no title
Just as the feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West died down over the weekend, Kim Kardashian West revived it with a VERY specific video.
And now, Usher is opening it back up, too, by commenting on the case where Yeezy used his name in a song — 2005’s hit single Gold Digger.

In that song, of course, ‘Ye uses a lyric with a direct reference to Usher when he rapped:

“My best friend says she use to f*ck with Usher.”

But the 37-year-old R&B star, who spoke about that song on a radio interview in Australia on Monday, laughed off the comparison with Swift, refusing to worry that Yeezy used his name.
Usher told Melbourne radio station Nova 100 (below):

“I don’t mind if he says my name. He didn’t really say it in derogative way, did he? I was single, I was legal, that was legal.”

Of course, this is a marked difference from how Swift reacted to Kanye using her name.
But to be fair, it’s also arguably a very different lyric in how West calls out the pop star and alleges they could have had sex.
That and Gold Digger is eleven years old, so it’s not like Usher would still be mad about it anyways — after all, won’t Taylor have moved WAY past this eleven years from now?!

Anyways, what do U think — the way that Usher is handling this, is that how TayTay should be looking at her situation?!
Or is it a far bigger deal to be called a b*tch, as Kanye did to her, than any reference made to Usher in Gold Digger??
