When Karl Lagerfeld speaks, the world listens!
Well, the fashion world anyway.
The blunt frontman for Chanel was recently asked, in Marie Claire Spain, about the newest taxes on France├óΓé¼Γäós wealthiest citizens, and he called French President Francois Hollande an “idiot.”
The Prez recently decided to tax the income of people who make over $1.31 million, or 1 million euros, by 75%, in hopes of helping the lower class.
The taxes along with high labor costs have sent unemployment in France to over 10 percent.
Unkle Karl called it a “disaster,” and added:
“Outside of fashion, jewellery, perfume and wine, France isn’t competitive. The rest of our products don’t sell. Who buys French cars? I don’t.”
Preach!
Hmm…Maybe Unkle Karl should run for Prez next time!
He certainly would make the position more chic!
