Karl Lagerfeld is almost as well known for putting his foot in his mouth as he is for designing extravagant collections for Chanel.
Luckily for the designer, his ill-chosen words are rarely held against him!
He recently told Madame Figaro magazine:
“People are very nice to me, even though I’m known for saying rude things.”
Wait. So he KNOWS that the things he says are rude but says them anyway?!
Maybe it’s all due to getting older and running out of f*cks to give!
Unkle Karl also admitted that he’s rather perplexed by his own fame, saying:
“It’s quite funny to have managed to become famous despite not being an actor, a singer and not being 15 years old. Not a day goes by where I don’t get presents, drawings, dolls … from fans.”
Well, it’s good to know his verbal diarrhea hasn’t burned any bridges.
Or maybe peeps just kiss up to him so they can have unfettered access to a lifetime supply of 2.55 bags.
But, really, the fashion world just wouldn’t be the same without the Kaiser’s bon mots ruffling some feathers every once in a while!
