Kate Middleton looks elegant and polished pretty much all the time.
But not all of her looks are created equal! Some are decidedly better than others!

Here, we’ve compiled our personal favorites!
Take a look and see if you agree or not (below)!

1) The royal blue engagement dress that practically made Issa a household name in 2011! Even three years later, it still sets our hearts all aflutter! Proof that a classic silhouette and rich color just cannot be beat!

2) Now, the lace Alexander McQueen bridal dress from her wedding in April 2011 was flawless, but we think the second McQueen number that Kate changed into for the reception has been woefully overlooked! Though it’s a much simpler design than the main dress, it has a quieter, more elegant, and more angelic feel to it. Plus, the embellished belt and fuzzy cropped cardigan are just stunning against the simple backdrop of the dress!

3) We get giddy every time Kate Middleton makes a red carpet appearance in an exquisite gown. And we’ve noticed that pastel colors, like the lavender she wore during a visit to LA in 2011 (left) and the pink she wore to the 10th annual ARK Gala (right), are especially gorgeous on her! They just make her glow!

4) This Jenny Packham number worn to the British Olympic Association concert in May 2012 is undoubtedly one of the Duchess’ best gowns EVER! The lace detail, the soft pleating, the vibrant teal hue — simply breathtaking! Honestly, the more we look at it, the more we’re convinced that this actually is her best look!

5) During her first pregnancy, the Duchess’ wardrobe consisted of multiple pretty dresses and coats, but we especially favor this powder blue, empire-waist frock, worn to The Art Room in April 2013, that looks like something a modern-day Cinderella would wear. So ethereal! And so accommodating for a baby bump!

6) Polka dots! They’re so happy and whimsical! Kate’s black and white polka dot dress styled with black pumps and a simple cardigan really stands out in our memory for some reason. Maybe it’s because this is the outfit she wore when she, Prince William, and Prince Harry took Harry Potter tour at Warner Bros. studios last year in April. Anyway, we really like it!

7) Duchesses — they’re just like us! When Kate and William presented baby George to the world last year in July for the first time, Kate looked so fresh and normal in her dotted Jenny Packham dress. It was a perfectly relatable moment! And probably done on purpose, too! She may have every couture gown ever made at her disposal, if she so chooses, but we love it when she keeps it simple!

8) Sheath dresses are a K.Mid staple. They look good, they probably feel good, and they’re easy to just throw on anytime you have to be presentable for a royal walkabout. Kate’s worn a bunch of them over the years, but these two versions she wore during the official Australia/New Zealand tour earlier this year in April are our faves!
She rarely wears yellow, which is why the Roksanda Ilincic dress on the left is such a treat, and the blue floral LK Bennett one on the right is just so pretty!

9) Coat dresses are another Kate staple. She’s worn them on more occasions than we can count! But this double-breasted navy McQueen coat dress worn to meet the Irish Guards in 2011 is the most immaculate of them all! Perfectly tailored and constructed, it gives the Duchess an extra dose of confidence and stature. We can’t take our eyes off her in this!
