This is so scary!!
More than 5,000 people have been forced out of their homes in and around Calabasas, northwest of Los Angeles, as forest fires rage in the hills through the weekend.
Celebs like the Kardashian family, Toni Braxton, Jessica Simpson, and many, many more are directly affected by the fires, which as of Saturday evening had burned more than 500 acres in and around the affluent city.

According to CNN Meteorologist Derek Van Dam, things are unfortunately not going to get better anytime soon, either, with very hot, dry weather expected around El Lay for the foreseeable future:
“This fire has a long way to go before firefighters can actually contain [it].”
As firefighters bravely respond to the blaze, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian took time to thank these first responders for helping to save their community in a series of messages posted to Twitter, below:
Thanks to all the brave firefighters, on the ground and overhead. Appreciate what you do to keep us safe 🙏🏽❤️ God bless #CalabasasFire

These fires are always so scary in southern California, especially because it’s SO dry and hot out there.
Let’s just hope nobody gets hurt in the blaze, and that — as a secondary concern, of course — there’s no significant damage to any family’s homes.
