Maybe Kylie Jenner was just trying to pay her respects to a fallen star — but she ended up causing even more problems within her own fractured family.
In the wake of Kobe Bryant‘s death, Kylie was one of many celebs who paid tribute on social media. However, she had a personal connection to the tragedy — it turned out she had flown on the very same helicopter!

She wrote on her Instagram Story:
“That was the helicopter I would fly on from time to time with that pilot, Ara. He was such a nice man.”
The pilot of the helicopter was indeed Ara Zobayan, who was killed in the crash along with Kobe, Gianna Bryant, and six other passengers. Some might accuse Kylie of focusing her response on the tragedy to herself, but we don’t blame anyone for pointing out how this affected them personally.
However, someone is upset. VERY upset. Speaking-through-her-lawyer upset. That person is Blac Chyna.
See, after Kylie mentioned the helicopter some folks noticed she had indeed posted pics of the aircraft on her IG — last November, when she took her niece Dream Kardashian on it for her bday!
As if there isn’t enough legal back-and-forth between Chyna and Rob Kardashian — who reportedly made some highly disturbing accusations of his own recently — this admission is creating even more “distress.”
As Chyna’s lawyer Lynne Ciani said in a statement to AMI, per People:
“Chyna has become aware that Kylie Jenner is using the tragic deaths of Kobe Bryant, his beautiful daughter, and seven other precious souls to profess her ‘distress’ that she and Dream had ridden on the same helicopter with the same pilot prior to Sunday’s horrific crash. What Kylie failed to disclose was that Chyna never gave Kylie permission to take her precious daughter Dream on a helicopter ride and that Chyna never would have given Kylie that permission.”
Wow. We understand why she’s so upset, considering what just happened to that helicopter. If the cause of the crash turns out to be a mechanical difficulty, there’s every reason to think it might easily have occurred two months ago when her daughter was on board…
So scary to think about! Ciani added:
“No parents should find out after-the-fact that their child has participated in a dangerous activity without their permission. Chyna voiced her strong objections to Rob and insisted that it never happen again.”
If they really did take Dream on a helicopter without her mother’s permission, it’s a fair reason for a momma to get angry.
