Guess that phone call LeAnn Rimes made to a Twitter follower actually happened because the singer is suing the woman on the other end of the line!
A Northern California teacher told sources that she was surprised to pick up her phone last March and hear LeAnn’s voice saying:
“Hey bitch, this is LeAnn you have 5 minutes to say whatever you want to me!”
Eddie Cibrian‘s emotionally troubled wife is claiming that this Kimberly Smiley illegally recorded the crazy convo and released audio bits on the internet to spite her.
While Smiley claims she was basically berated with angry profanity during the unexpected call, LeAnn says she was simply trying to get the complete stranger “cyber bully” to stop harassing her through online social media.
Since recording a phone call without consent from both parties is illegal in Cali, LeAnn’s lawyer plans to “take all of the appropriate steps to address the harm that [she] has suffered as a result of this criminal conduct.”
The defendant says she DID NOT try to sell the recording and her daughter Lexi — who is also being sued in the $25,000 suit — only recorded the call because of how “outrageous” LeAnn’s comments were.
This story wouldn’t be complete without a comment from Real Housewife Brandi Glanville who has said:
“The whole thing is just ridiculous. It’s just a celebrity who’s too full of herself.”
Smiley is arguing that she only shared the audio with a few friends, one of which leaked it to Cibrian’s angry ex.
This is pretty wild, so we’re definitely curious to see where this thing goes. Do U think that LeAnn’s lawsuit has merit here or did she bring this upon herself when she decided to call a former follower and yell at her over the phone?
