It’s here!
We didn’t even have to wait long!
Lena Dunham‘s rumored Vogue cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz, is a total reality, and we like what we see!
The actress and writer’s February issue is perfectly quirky and cute just like her, featuring the 27-year-old with a dazed look on her face on the front of the mag, and wearing a feathered Alexander McQueen dress with a pigeon on her head in the spread!
Hilarious and awesome!
Hannah Horvath does get a few chances to look totally glam though, as she wears a strapless Prada dress while lying on a bed with her dog and onscreen boyfriend Adam Driver, and again when posing on a balcony in a Celine coat.
She also talks about some fashion faves, since this is, after all, a fashion mag. Lena said:
“I’ve always loved Comme des Garçons; I’ve always loved Yohji Yamamoto. I’m into Charlotte Olympia flats. I really love a Prada bag because they always have one weird detail that you didn’t think about. I always wear J Brand jeans because the waist is high . . . a low-cut jean is a problematic thing for me.”
The Girls star also reveals her love of the unusual, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôI love clothes that have eccentricity and wit to them.”
But wait! This isn’t really Lena’s first time in the pages of Vogue!
She was interviewed as an eleven-year-old alongside friend and now costar Jemima Kirke in the March 1998 issue! Read that article HERE!
Who would’ve thought the pre-teen who called Calvin Klein a “clothesmonger” would end up on the cover of Vogue 16 years later???
Life is crazy!
