Liam Hemsworth has canceled promotional events for his new film Killerman, according to a new report.
As we wrote over the weekend, Miley Cyrus‘ rep confirmed she and the Hunger Games actor called it quits less than a year after getting married in December 2018. Per Us Weekly, she “was the one who ended things” — as the duo “haven’t been together for months.”

Per DailyMail.com on Friday, the actor has reportedly pulled the plug on his scheduled promotional work for his new flick.
According to the source:
“He is not coming to LA for Killerman anymore even though he had told the film executives that he loved the movie and wanted to go full force into promoting it… There was a feeling that the premiere was going to be a major summer event with Miley joining her husband. All the signs and talk from his team was that Miley and he wanted to put on a public show of support… There was even a plan for Liam to appear on the late night talk shows to promote the film.”
Apparently, the thespian is reportedly “stunned at seeing how quickly” the songstress has moved on with new rumored flame Kaitlynn Carter.
“Liam has just been off the grid and Killerman was put on the back burner as he has fought to save his marriage… He is deeply upset that things did not work out and stunned at seeing how quickly Miley appears to moved on… He is now not in the right head space to step back into the limelight to do any promotion as he knows Miley’s name will come up… Liam is just surrounding himself with close family to try and heal and see what Miley does next. They want him to stay at home and heal… Even the thought of jetting back to LA is painful for him. The couple has a Malibu home, which Miley has returned to with Kaitlynn… Unless something major happens to calm down the tensions between the pair, it will be a while before he sees her in the flesh. It is a tough premise to deal with his emotions should he meet Miley again face to face.”
The insider noted the pair seemed “fine” when the former Hannah Montana actress visited her now-ex on the set of the movie — directed by Malik Bader.
“In fact Miley was boasting that Liam’s performances were incredible and this film would show Hollywood how he is so much more than a pretty face. He took the role because it showed his acting chops and a real grittier side to his screen talent… At the time no-one suspected anything would go wrong with their relationship.”
Fast forward to now, Chris Hemsworth‘s brother is reportedly unsure of his future.
“Now Liam is just lost on what his next steps will be. The timing of this split could not have been worse, which has annoyed him and his team… He should have been out in public talking about his work instead of hiding away because of his raw emotions.”
Of course, take these reports with a grain of salt. In a statement to the publication, a spokesman for film studio Blue Fox denied Liam canceled any appearances, explaining:
“While we obviously hoped Liam would be available to travel from Australia to LA to do some press and promo for the film, his availability was never confirmed and therefore, no junket or premiere was ever officially planned. Any story saying Liam canceled press is inaccurate.”
