Multiple drugs were found in Liam Payne‘s system after his death, according to sources.
Insiders told ABC News on Monday that a partial autopsy found several substances in the singer’s system. Those substances include cocaine, crack, and benzodiazepine. Other substances included so-called “pink cocaine,” which is usually a mix of methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and other drugs. The sources also noted that an improvised aluminum pipe to ingest drugs was found in his hotel room. Oof.

The sources also added that the pop star’s body will remain in Argentina, where he passed away on Wednesday, until the full autopsy is completed.
As Perezcious readers know, the 31-year-old died last week after jumping from a fourth-story balcony at his hotel, resulting in fatal injuries. Local authorities previously speculated he may have been high on “Cristal,” a drug that causes extreme highs and lows, makes people aggressive, and could lead to hallucinations, per TMZ. He had suffered from addiction and mental health issues for years before his death. It is not known at this time if the fall was intentional or not.
A preliminary autopsy report previously seen by CNN revealed that the father of one died from multiple injuries and “internal and external” hemorrhages. The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office also released a statement noting Liam was likely in a “state of semi or unconsciousness” when he hit the ground because he “did not adopt a reflex posture to protect himself.” So sad.
Per a 911 call made moments before his death, we know Liam had reportedly being going in and out of consciousness because hotel staff said he had been acting erratically and trashing his room “when he is conscious.” Photos of his room after his death showed it was destroyed with drug paraphernalia scattered around, as well.
According to ABC News, twenty-five injuries were reported on the A-lister’s body. His head injuries were believed to be sufficient to cause death, and the cause of death was listed as related to the height of his fall. Argentinian State Police also told the outlet that a hotel employee, who has been suspected of supplying the Strip That Down crooner with drugs on the day he died, has been interviewed. The individual has not been arrested or charged with anything at this time. Truly such an awful situation.
