Uh, not sure this is the flex she thinks it is!
On a new episode of her podcast The Southern Tea out on Wednesday, Lindsie Chrisley revealed her father, Todd Chrisley, and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, are making the best of their time behind bars. As Perezcious readers know, the reality stars are in prison for federal tax evasion and fraud. They reported themselves to their respective facilities in mid-January… and, uh, apparently it was a really smooth transition for them because the other inmates are fans!

The 33-year-old, who Todd welcomed with his first wife Teresa Terry, revealed:
“You want to be strong and tell them everything’s going to be fine, even though you’re questioning if everything’s going to be fine. One of my biggest concerns was the access to televisions… Like, do you think people have seen Chrisley Knows Best that are serving time in these camps? And simply the answer, I know now, is yes.”
The fact the other prisoners were fans of the show really helped both Todd and Julie out, Lindsie added:
“My parents were welcomed with open arms. I feel so blessed with that because I have heard of other people reporting that not being the case.”
The mother of one’s remarks were made during a conversation with Justin Paperny, a prison consultant. They discussed all things prison reform, the conditions in the facilities, and the sentencing of white collar crimes. On Todd’s boujee AF jail, the podcast host argued:
“My dad never surrendered himself to the federal prison camp in Pensacola thinking that he was going to a Taj Mahal.”
LMFAO! He still managed to land himself in a pretty nice place, though!

While this has been an emotional rollercoaster for the family, the 53-year-old is apparently doing VERY well during his time locked up. Lindsie said his spirits are high and that “he looks very, very good,” adding of a recent visit:
“I couldn’t stop telling him how great he looked. I said, ‘Even your hair looks better a little bit longer and a little bit grayer.’ His nails aren’t completely bitten off.”
She continued:
“I know for sure he is in such a better place. His spirits are great. He is really just embracing the process there, making the best of the process there with the people that are also there serving time with him. He’s made great friends. He talks about his friends there.”
IN A BETTER PLACE?! The dude’s in prison for f**k’s sake! We’re glad he’s doing okay, but what a wild thing to say!
After expressing her feelings of relief, Lindsie admitted she does still have one worry about her parents, acknowledging:
“In one of my first emails to my dad, I asked him — because they were both very active in therapy and talked about that on their podcast and shared with their listeners their journey with therapy and that whole process. I asked him, ‘Are there any mental health services that you have access to?’ And I can’t get a direct answer from him.”
Hmm… Wonder why he wouldn’t respond? We do hope they have access to mental health care if they need it. Especially considering the patriarch will be locked up at the Federal Correctional Institute Pensacola in Florida for 12 years! Meanwhile, his wife will be serving seven years at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky. That is a long time!
