Can Logan Paul be canceled now???
Over the weekend, the YouTube star (who is the older brother of trash human Jake Paul) uploaded a video from his recent trip to Japan. The footage caused quite a bit of controversy as he seems to have filmed a dead body he discovered in Aokigahara, also known as the Japanese Suicide Forest. Smh.

In the video, which has since been deleted, Paul and some friends visit the infamous forest at the edge of Mount Fuji. After some playful banter, the 22-year-old’s vid takes a dark turn as he and his entourage stumble upon a body hanging from a tree. Logan is heard saying:
“Yo, are you alive? … Are you fucking with us?”
Rather than turn off the camera, Logan and his crew continued to film the tragedy. He continued:
“So, a lot of things are going through my mind. This is a first for me… His hands are purple. He did this this morning… Oh no, I’m so sorry, Logang. This was supposed to be a fun vlog… Suicide is not a joke. Depression and mental illness are not a joke. We came here with an intent to focus on the ├óΓé¼╦£haunted’ aspect of the forest. This obviously just became very real, and obviously a lotta people are going through a lotta shit in their lives.”
We would’ve respected this sentiment more if, you know, HE HADN’T FILMED A DEAD BODY. To make matters worse, Logan introduced his vid with the following:
“This is not clickbait. This is the most real vlog I’ve ever posted to this channel. I think this definitely marks a moment in YouTube history because I’m pretty sure this has never hopefully happened to anyone on YouTube ever. Now with that said: buckle the fuck up, because you’re never gonna see a video like this again!”
It may not be clickbait, but you totally exploited a real person’s suicide for views on your channel. Although, to be fair, Paul made sure to not monetize on the video and included information for the American Society for Suicide Prevention in the description.
Regardless — tsk, tsk.
And, despite his loyal following, people have put the internet sensation on BLAST for his tone deaf upload. See the strong reactions from Twitter (below).
Dear @LoganPaul,
How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell.

Logan Paul is absolutely foul & to anyone who supports his content after that video is just as deluded as him, the least he deserves is all his social media wiped.

Logan Paul took his video down @youtube but the damage has been done. Ur platform let someone whose audience is children – get scarred by someone they “look up to” showing a suicide victim├óΓé¼Γäós body & making jokes. This is wrong & his channel should be shut down. This is deplorable. https://t.co/n5nE1IStEg

suicide is not a joke.
suicide is not a way to gain views.
suicide is not to be taken lightly.
what logan paul did is not acceptable.
if you’re struggling, please take your health seriously and please seek help. your life is worth so much. you are worth so much.

It is important to discuss mental illness, suicide awareness, and suicide prevention in a way that can help & educate people. Logan Paul is a disrespectful piece of garbage who further glorified something horrible under the guise of “there’s help for you.” Take action, @YouTube.

Logan’s peer Andy Altig, who uploaded footage from the trip to his own channel, has also deleted his supporting video.
While Logan has since apologized for his poor producing decision, his mea culpa is just as tone deaf as you’d expect:
