Lori Loughlin & Husband Made 'Calculated Decision' To Participate In Bribery Scheme 'To Save Money'!?

Lori Loughlin saved money with scheme

Multiple sources have made it clear that Lori Loughlin would have done basically anything to get her daughters into the University of Southern California.
So, then why didn’t she simply make a donation to the university — something the wealthy have been doing since the dawn of social stratification?
According to an Us Weekly source, the Fuller House star and her husband Mossimo Giannulli wanted to “save money” on their efforts to get Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into the school — so, instead of donating a building or creating the Aunt Becky Scholarship Fund, they decided to allegedly participate in the massive college bribery scheme!

The insider explained:

“Lori and her husband made a calculated decision to get their daughters into USC, and bypassed donating directly to the university to save money. It would have cost millions of dollars to get the girls into USC if they had gone that path. Donating buildings or establishing scholarships has been the whispered norm to get kids of wealthy parents into universities, including USC.”

Sure, the 54-year-old actress may have been obsessed with getting her daughters into USC — but apparently not enough to pay millions of dollars.
So, she reportedly went with a more budget friendly option. As we reported, the couple have been accused of paying $500,000 to make sure their two girls were designated as recruits for the USC crew team, despite the fact that neither had played the sport.

This illegal effort — allegedly led by scandal orchestrator William “Rick” Singer — was very well thought out, according to the confidant. Not only was it a cheaper option for the couple, it was a much more discreet way to achieve their goals of getting their daughters into a prestigious school.
If Lori and Mossimo didn’t go with Singer’s discounted admissions plan, the insider adds, they would’ve had to pay a $20 to $50 million donation to the university — plus, the “public would have known.” The source added:

“They were able to get the girls into USC for $500,000.”

Ironically, Loughlin and Mossimo ended up paying big time last month when they each used their multi-million dollar estate as collateral in order to post a $1 million bond, after being taken into custody on charges of fraud and money laundering.
The two pleaded not guilty to all the charges earlier this week following their rejection of a plea deal that would have carried a minimum two-year prison sentence. They now each face up to 40 years in prison.
But at least their wallets are fuller?
