A husband has revealed the final text he received from his wife who was onboard the American Airlines plane that collided with a helicopter on Wednesday night.
Hamaad Raza was waiting for his 26-year-old wife to arrive at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport when news of the devastating crash broke. He told a WUSA9 reporter that just 20 minutes before the plane was set to land, he received a message from his loved one, saying:
“She texted me that they were landing in 20 minutes. The rest of my texts did not get delivered, that’s when I realized something might be up.”
My gosh…

This interview was conducted SUPER early into the investigation, and Hamaad had no clue what was going on or how the passengers were, he shared:
“I’m just praying that somebody is pulling her out of the river right now as we speak. I’m just praying to God.”
Reporter Larry Miller added that the wife had flown to Wichita, Kansas for work despite always having a fear of flying — something she was never comfortable with. Jeez. What a horrific situation.
According to authorities on Thursday morning, out of the 64 people on the plane and 3 soldiers on the US Army Black Hawk helicopter, there are NO survivors expected. About 30 bodies have since been recovered from the Potomac River.

We are thinking of Hamaad and all those mourning the loss of a loved one right now. This is just an awful tragedy.
