Alexander McQueen‘s McQueenadillos were no match for Min-Kyu Choi‘s flat folding plug, which won this year’s Design of the Year Award.
Choi says the design was inspired by carrying around a bulky plug while traveling. Not a bad invention if you ask us.
Chairman Anthony Gormley says of the winning design: “Thought-through, responsive and modest, the folding plug shows how intelligent, elegant and inventive design can make a difference to everyone’s life.”
However, McQueen did win the fashion category for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection.
Congrats to both!
